Evan Mauritz, Design Engineer at PFC Brakes

Evan Mauritz, Design Engineer at PFC Brakes is originally from Providence, Rhode Island but spent most of his life in Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated in May of 2023 from Clemson University with a degree in Industrial Engineering with an Automotive Engineering Concentration.

 He was a member of the Clemson FSAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) team for the entirety of his time at Clemson. For 3 years, Evan was the lead braking system design engineer on the team. He has worked in many different areas of engineering during several college internships from HVAC design to Quality engineering.

Outside of work, Evan’s hobbies are anything and everything automotive. He enjoys working on cars, attending races in all different series, and simulator racing at home in iRacing on his simulator. He also enjoys fly fishing and camping.

 He is looking forward to working at PFC because of his huge passion for motorsports. Evan said, “Through my experience at Clemson, I’ve really come to enjoy braking system design and all the challenges that come with it. I love problem-solving and watching my designs go from the concept phase to production. I am looking forward to working with my fellow PFC engineers and learning as much as I can!”
