Introducing Joe Allen, Technical Sales Engineer

Introducing the newest member of the PFC Brakes team, Joe Allen. He is from a small town outside of Birmingham called Tamworth in England. He is taking on the role of Technical Sales Engineer for the European and Oceanian race markets at PFC Brakes. 

Having worked in the braking industry for nine years at Alcon Components, racing has always interested Joe. Some of his favorite types are F1, GT Racing, and Rallycross. “Although F1 has gotten a little repetitive with Red Bull dominating everything in the last couple of years.”

Joe said, “My dream car would be a Ferrari F40. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved them!”

His hobbies include mountain biking, motocross & track days.

When asked what he most looks forward to working at PFC Brakes, Joe said, “I would have to say being back in the motorsport industry, working with a great group of people, with some amazing products. As well as getting back in touch with old contacts to promote the PFC brand.”

The Nürburgring 24 hours has seen many firsts. Last year Frikadelli Racing made history when they took the top step on the podium, giving Ferrari their first ever win at this historic event. In 2024, they are back stronger than ever, looking to deliver the manufacturer’s first-ever back-to-back victories at the “Green Hell”.

Last year’s historic win for the Ferrari team marked the first ever overall win for the new PFC 82 & 84 endurance compounds. These have since continued to win across the globe in many flagship racing series such as IMSA, GT World Challenge, and Super GT.

This time, the Frikadelli Ferrari is back in top form, looking to defend its title. Once again, it is equipped with our newest addition to the GT market, the 82 front and 84 rear endurance compounds.

We here at PFC are excited for an action-packed 24 hours at the Ring and can’t wait to see the PFC Brakes equipped Ferrari out on the track.

Connor Zilisch, the driver of the no. 28 Chevrolet, emerged victorious at Hickory Motor Speedway in the fiercely competitive zMAX CARS Tour’s Late Model Stock division. The Trackhouse Racing development driver showcased his skills, taking the lead on lap 111 and successfully fending off Brenden Queen on a late restart to secure the win.


Kyle Campbell won Saturday’s Late Model race at Hickory Motor Speedway in the zMAX CARS Tour. The zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Models opened the show. Kyle Campbell, who drives the no. 03, won from pole for the second time.

Alex Palou won Sunday’s IndyCar’s Thermal Club $1 Million Challenge, leading Scott McLaughlin to the checked flag by six seconds in the 20-lap final.

In a race of varying strategies, pure speed paid off for Alex Palou with a victory in the Sprint for the Purse at The Thermal Club $1 Million Challenge.

Reigning NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Alex Palou earned $500,000 for the victory in the non-points exhibition event. Palou led all 20 laps of the Sprint for from the pole, driving his No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing to victory over the No. 3 Team Penske of Scott McLaughlin.

The next NTT INDYCAR SERIES race takes place at Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, a points-paying event Sunday, April 21 on the streets of Long Beach, California.

PFC returns to sponsor ASA STARS National Tour

Performance Friction Brakes will return as a sponsor of the ASA STARS National Tour in 2024, beginning with the February 13th Clyde Hart Memorial 200 season opening event at New Smyrna (FL) Speedway.

The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in seven states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Track Enterprises (TE) is a racing Promotions Company based in Illinois, which owns and operates the ASA STARS National Tour. In additional to the STARS National Tour, Track Enterprises owns and operates Championship Racing Association (CRA) and the ASA Midwest Tour. TE also has a strategic alliance and controlling interest in the ASA Southern Super Series.

PFC Brakes starts the Season off Strong

PFC Brakes started the race season strong with a full #PFCequipped IMSA podium. Last weekend’s “Roar before the 24” event took place at Daytona International Speedway, which was also the opening weekend for the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.

Congratulations to Kohr Motorsports on a first place finish equipped with PFC Brakes. Luca Mars, driver of the #59 GT4 Mustang, started in last place and raced hard through the field to secure a first-place finish.

The 24 Hours of Daytona will take place on Saturday, Jan 27, 2024, and Sunday, Jan 28, 2024.
