New Developments in Motorsports for PFC!
PFC Brakes continues to lead the way in high-performance braking innovation, with new developments for professional motorsport & track days.

Indy 500 brake package update:
PFC brakes were recently tested at the IMS with updated calipers to focus on the specific brake system needs for the Indianapolis 500 race. While drivers will circle the track without using the brakes, the 2.5-mile oval stands out as it is the only oval track where the drivers will pit from turn 4 directly into the pit lane, and with a 60-mph speed limit, they will wait until the last possible moment to apply the brakes. With this 220-60mph brake zone, a race win can be determined coming into the pit lane.
The focus is also to remove any heat or drag from the system to allow the maximum speeds to be achieved, especially important during the qualifying sessions. With this, PFC has specific pad retraction designs to move the pads away from the rotors, but if you have too much gap, the drivers will have to pump the brakes and not have good confidence during the crucial pit stops. The systems tested at IMS showed to move in a more positive direction with high driver praise and team feedback.
PFC brakes will continue to test in the coming months with INDYCAR to fully validate this system for use in the 2026 season.
New Brake Compound Launched:
The 68 Compound is PFC’s newest and most popular street/track day offering, engineered for drivers demanding both everyday drivability and uncompromising on-track performance. This pad delivers exceptional cold bite and maintains a high, consistent coefficient of friction (mu) even under extreme temperatures. Drivers will experience a smooth release, responsive pedal feel, and quiet application (noise wise), all while benefiting from low-dust, noncorrosive characteristics.
The 68 Compound represents the perfect balance of race-winning friction with street-ready manners, making it the ultimate solution for high-performance driving enthusiasts.
