Motorsports Success for PFC North America
PFC Brakes strengthens its position across North American motorsports, with major developments and race-winning performances spanning INDYCAR, INDY NXT, USF Pro Championship Series, NASCAR, IMSA, GT World Challenge America, F4 U.S., Formula 3 Regional U.S. and more.

As the official brake supplier of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, PFC Brakes remains at the center of one of the most competitive championships in the world. One of the season’s most notable developments came at the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, where PFC introduced a specially designed brake caliper package engineered specifically for the event.
James Borner, product innovation manager for PFC Brakes, said, “The updated systems were introduced to eliminate any issues with pit-entry brake zones that have come up in the past few years. The biggest change was in the caliper piston bores, with a reduction of around 22%.
Borner added, “This change, along with a mandated larger master cylinder, allows for reduced pedal travel while also providing additional pad retraction to give teams the lowest drag possible. At the same time, it maintains a safe pedal feel without any knockback or issues requiring drivers to pump the pedal multiple times to stop the cars. Additional changes were made to the pistons to improve the consistency of the pad retraction systems.”
The new systems were first tested in October 2025 with two teams before being evaluated by all teams during the April IMS Open Test.
PFC also serves as the official brake supplier of the INDY NXT by Firestone series, where the next generation of racing talent continues to make its mark. The series has featured close competition throughout the season, highlighted by Myles Rowe’s impressive last-to-first victory at World Wide Technology Raceway. Rookie Alessandro de Tullio and Enzo Fittipaldi have also attracted attention with strong performances as the season progresses.
