During qualifying, Grissom reached 100.485 miles per hour on the short .455 mile track, setting a new personal record at the speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Throughout the race, Grissom’s #31 car stayed out front. A brutal crash involving Karl Weber occurred on lap 78 for the second caution of the night. Measmer in the #51 car spun out introducing the third caution of the night.
During the restart on lap 84, Grissom and Gentry moved into the top two spots, passing Brandon Ward who had lead the first length of the race. Jay Fogleman in the #2 car, also equipped with a full PFC brake package, stole the second place position from Gentry, finishing right behind Grissom through the checkered flag.
The PFC ZR34 Full Brake Package is trusted by the top drivers in the series with Zero Drag™ calipers that make the car quicker. Short track racing and the harsh braking environment puts driver’s braking systems to the test—with PFC Brakes coming out in the lead.
