Esteemed Slinger Nationals Won by Bubba Pollard Against Top Short Track Racers in the Country
Driver Bubba Pollard of the No.26 Super Late Model took home the title of Slinger Nationals Champion at Slinger Speedway in Wisconsin.
With around 50 laps to go of the 200-lap event, Pollard and Ty Majeski dove into a heated battle for the first place position. Pollard finally got in front of the well known driver after nine laps of tight competition. After a restart, the two got together in turn 4 and Pollard spun out. However, Majeski took blame for the tangle, and Pollard returned to his position on the track.
"It was one of those deals I didn't want to cost us both the race," said Majeski. "I thought he was giving me the lane, based on how high he entered, and he came down and I was at least at his left rear tire.""We don't have that back at home," said Pollard about Majeski's gesture and admittance of fault. "I've got a lot of respect for that."
Pollard then battled with Alex Prunty, who was had a hard time getting around Pollard, but finished in 2nd. Majeski placed 4th in the event.
"I feel like the last three months we've been really working hard, and I've been working on this race here," said Pollard. "This is the one I wanted."
Bubba Pollard chooses PFC Brakes' full Super Late Model Package featuring ZR94 ZeroDrag™ calipers, V3 ZeroFailures™ discs, CarbonMetallic® pads, and RH665 Racing Brake Fluid.
