04.03.2021, PASS Super Late Models, Easter Bunny 150, Hickory Motor Speedway, NC
On Saturday night Team PFC's Derek Griffith withstood a hard fought battle with PFC Equipped Joey Polewarcyzk Jr. to win the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway. Griffith swept the weekend twins to become the first driver since Preston Peltier to score back-to-back Easter Bunny 150 wins. Griffith started in fourth despite laying down the fastest lap in Friday's practice. Griffith patiently waited to make his move, watching Carson Hocevar and Polewarcyzk battle it out in the early stages of the race. Griffith took the lead on a re-start at the 60 lap mark. Griffith and Polewarcyzk battled it out for several laps, while fending off the duo of DJ Shaw and Mike Hopkins. Following a backstretch spin on lap 112, Polewarcyzk snagged the late lead from Griffith. Just two laps later chaos ensued on turn three involving multiple cars. On the restart Griffith powered past Polewarcyzk and would never look back.
