02.13.2021, 2021 World Series of Asphalt, New Smyrna Speedway, FL
In the lead-up to the 2021 World Series of Asphalt, there have been 19 different Super Late Model Champions in the last 19 years, with no consecutive champion. This year team PFC's Darrick Griffith bucked the 19 year trend. Griffith had won three of the seven Super Late Model races last week matching his PFC teammate, Bubba Pollard's win count when he took the 2019 World Series title. On Saturday night, Griffith finished ninth, however, thanks to his commanding points lead he was crowned the champion for the second year in a row.
